Grateful for Creation
The LOVE behind the natural world is something I have been blessed to be able to feel since I was at LEAST four years old.
I have not been blessed with good looks. I am not deformed or disfigured, but I am not beautiful.
I have not been blessed with wealth. I have enough money to have food to eat, but not enough to have a car or good health care.
And when I was a child, I had not been blessed with human LOVE. The only humans I actually formed a bond with — until I was in my late teens and had my OWN child — was my abusive father (I know, right?), a sister who moved away forever when I was four years old, and perhaps my male cousin who lived next door until I was seven years old. I learned by the ripe old age of three that humans could NOT be counted on for nurturing or protection. I was on my own.
But was I really alone? Perhaps not, because what I WAS blessed with was an acute awareness of the Creator, and an adoration for Creation. Oh, I didn’t have a NAME for all that when I was only 3 and 4 and 5 years old. I went to church and the “father” (priest) was one of my abusers, too — so I did NOT call the Creator “Father” or “Lord” or even “God” like I do now. I would just sit on the ground in a field with my back against a tree, contentedly watching the ants and the birds, and singing my sincere thanks to “the one who MADE all this“. The possibility never occurred to me that such a big, loving, creative heart could NOT exist.
I guess that’s what you might call “faith as a little child“, lol. And I still have it — THAT is what I am truly blessed with. Of course, it may help that part of me is still most definitely “like a little child”. 😀
As you may be able to tell in the pics above from my old Flickr photostream, I taught my own children to appreciate nature, and I HOPE that I have rubbed off on them my love for its Creator. Perhaps with the exception of my children, my husband, and my love of learning, what I am perpetually MOST grateful for are three things: The Creator, His Creation, and Creativity itself.

If you’d like to see my website dedicated to the natural world, visit The Creator’s Heart: Tidbits of Nature.
And if you’d like to see me interact with the Creator on a daily basis, visit Praying With the Word.
These are only three of the public websites I’ve created.
Others can be found on my Gravatar Page.
I guess I’ve been blessed with all those, as well! :O>

Thank you for visiting my P.A.G.E.!
If you like my work and would like to see more, there are links to many of my public websites as well as my contact information on my Gravatar page. And if you want to encourage me, you can become a Patron! :O>
You can also support this site and encourage me to add new resources to it, by clicking any of the Amazon ads (such as the ones above or below) whenever you want to buy something on Amazon.com. A small percentage of anything you purchase there will find its way back to me, giving me a little love and encouragement. THANKS! 😀
